Aitkin County Foster & Adult Care Providers
Foster Care:
Aitkin
County Health & Human Services is in need of foster care homes for
children of all ages. There are many reasons why foster care placements
happen, and many types of children who enter foster care. The need for
foster care homes ranges from short overnight stays to long term foster
care or permanent placement. Foster care provides a safe, nurturing
place for children to be while issues in their home, or their own
behavioral issues, are resolved.
Adoption:
Aitkin County Health & Human Services occasionally has a need for homes willing to adopt children whose parental rights have been terminated. We are looking for homes that are willing to consider adoption. These homes need to be licensed for foster care and are considered "foster to adopt" homes. As mentioned above, homes are needed for children of all ages. We also provide services for other types of adoptions.
Adult Foster Care:
Adult Foster Care provides a safe environment for adults who cannot live alone. These adults may be developmentally disabled, chemically dependent, or have mental health issues or conditions.
Please consider opening your home to someone in need.
